teckat, if i get you right, is imagepass somekind of a print server?
i am trying to print directly to the USB Port. is it possible to send me a link where i can get the right UFR drivers for the IR3025??

u need the LMS FOR Both UFR II/PCL Printer Kit-S1 & PS Printer kit

u need to call Canon about the LMS issue u are having

The brochure info below is correct./ disregard Reference option list I posted.

Canon may have posted some misinformation on the UFR II/PCL Printer Kit-S1/, in the Reference guide it does not list that a LMS is needed, but in brochure link below it has the word "Activate the optional UFR II/PCL Printer Kit-S1"

Glad you ammended your previous post as Canon did away with the boot rom system for printing with the xx70 series machines and went with the LMS key starting on 3045 series.

I got my IR3025 Printing now...i spoke to canon and they provided me with an activation key.

my last problem with fuser film solved here so i come back here

i need full guide for this process how activate printing through usb or networking

what i need check before contact cannon

step by step

i ask my technician but unfortunatly he say this problem is out of his mind

if possiblem provide me whole process

Registering a LAN (License Access Number) on LMS (License Management System)


The License Management System is a website used to register LANs (License Access Numbers) for Universal Send Kits and other optional kits for the Canon imageRUNNER devices.

To Register a LAN:

1. Using a Web Browser (ex. Internet Explorer) on your PC, go to the LMS website at http://www.canon.com/lms/ir.

2. Enter in the LAN provided in the optional kit (ex. Universal Send Kit).

3. Enter the serial number for the imageRUNNER device (the machine that the optional kit will be installed on). BE SURE TO ENTER THE CORRECT SERIAL NUMBER.

4. Copy down the License Key number for the installation.

For more information, please see the attached file lms.pdf.

To Install the Optional Kit on the imageRUNNER Device:

1. On the copier, hit Additional Functions > System Settings > scroll down > License Registration.

2. Enter the License Key number you copied down when registering the LAN on the LMS website.

3. Hit the Start button on the License Registration screen.

4. Reboot the copier.

* Note that some optional kits may require certain prerequisite items to be installed before performing the above steps.

------- The Printer Kits for many of the newer Canon devices are LMS based. The BootROM on these devices will always end with a C. There is no N, P, or H BootROM for these devices. How to tell what Printer Kit is installed on these machines_!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ---------------- You can check for the LMS-based Printer Kit on the Canon device the same way as you would check for any other installed LMS-based option or kit. Perform the following steps: 1. Press the [Counter Check] button on the copier control panel. 2. Hit the [Device Configuration] button on the LCD screen. 3. Scroll down through all of the available pages on this Device Configuration screen. Look for either PS, PCL or UFRII. The methods listed here (ex. PS, PCL, or UFRII) are installed and are available for printing. For example, if you find UFRII and PCL, but do not find PS on this screen on an iR C5180, it means that the UFRII/PCL Printer Kit is installed, but the PS Printer Kit is not installed. The exact Canon Printer Kits available vary by device model. See your specific device's documentation for more information.

Its a license key that activates the print function, its software, you cannot see it.

u should read the brochures on your products before a purchase (see attachment)

they explain all options available



u order single KITS from a Canon Authorized Dealership / ITEM CODES LISTED BELOW
also believe there is a COMBO KIT available from Canon= UFR II / PCL / PS Printer Kit-S1 1355B002[AA] that has two LMS licenses



i would not purchase online . BUYER BEWARE OF CHEAP or USED or NEW Statements

a license can be transferred to a similar product < but it requires a transfer number from product & an original certificate LMS number.
