    Canon iR600 Fuser Nip Pressure

Anyone know the procedure for tightening down the pressure screws on the fuser for the iR600 so that you get the proper pressure?

    Thanks

You can make a skyshot and stop it in the fuser, or go Copier-> Function-> Fixing-> NIP-CHK and put a piece of paper in the manual feed.

Then you measure the dark band across the paper. It should be 10mm on the edges and 7.3+/-.5mm in the center. In my experience the middle is rarely different from the edges. If it is smaller than 10mm, increase the nip pressure, if it is larger then decrease the pressure.
