    RDF jamming

On C3220, doc feeder jams on multiple copies, 1 copy passes through feeder fine but if you have 2 originals in feeder, the 1st copy jams at exit. Also won't reverse process for duplexing, jams when trying to take back in to turn over. I have 2 with this exact problem so must be something fairly common that we are just missing.

    inspect & clean all rollers

    Replace Separation pad

remove cover below to get to pad

    DADF.JPG
U need to use dip switches on DADF CONTROLLER to release pressure of roller to pad unit-for easy removal to replace pad- DO NOT FORCE OUT UNIT, IF U DON'T KNOW HOW TO USE DIP SWITCHES

hi,your problem could be in fact a small spring has come off a deflector and it not moving properly,if you open up the right hand cover and look inside you should see the metal plate that the spring goes on and the small hole in deflector for the other end of spring.

        TWO-SIDED ISSUE DADF

        imageRUNNER C2620 / 3200 /3220
DADF K1 Two Sided Jams in the Feeder

2 to 2 sided copies, paper stops in the reverse delivery area.

Open the Reverse Delivery Cover and make sure the mylar on the cover is not missing or damaged. If necessary, replace the mylar.

The Part Number for the Mylar is FB5-2207-010.

A picture of the Mylar is below.
