    IR 5000s jaming

    The copier works ok when paper pulled from tray2 on the left ,same for legal and 11x17 size, but when using tray 1 on the right paper stops before fuser unit every time.

    Cleaned everything on the machine.

    any suggestions?

      go into service mode copier-->display--->jam
      what jam code appers?

          check tray setup & clutch's

              Jam code is important.

              Out of 5 pages, let's say...

              The first sheet jams by the fuser...

              And where about the other sheets.

              Where do they jam?

              Its probably a delayed jam.

                  Since all the other tray's seem to operate fine, u would say most of the paperpath is fine. R-Deck uses the same path a C3 en C4.

                  Remove the right lower door, u should remove the upper door and part of upper right cover first. Then remove the R-Deck pickup assy (4 screws + cable) and clean the rollers. But if your skincolored foam roller is deformed, u need a new one or set of rollers.

                  Yes yes, i check the jam log myself, but i don;t if this person understand the jamlog.
