The black guide is next. You may want to remove the grey covers on either side since you have never done this before, but it to will drop down towards you and slide out of its holders. The guide it a little more stubborn than the door is because the other guide from the cassette can get in your way. Reassemble with the new parts...again putting the black guide in can be tricky so take your time and make sure you ground the blue wire to the frame.

If you can replace the vertical path and registration rollers on this machine then I am pretty sure you can tackle this as well.
Ohh I see. Thank you very much! I never did replace the vertical roller, it looked too intimidating as there was a lot to remove to get to it. I was going see if this fixed the issue first. I did replace all the other rollers including the registration roller.

Thanks Brian. But, I don't have a farm! But serisouly all you guys have been very helpful. I am not so intimitated by this machine having this site.

Don't be intimidated. It's just an office machine. When you're new to some part of it, just take your time, take a few digital photos along the way, and ask for help before you break something. That's the way the rest of us do it.

When I first started out, there were 5 or 6 other techs I could ask for help, with varying amounts of experience. The guys you've been talking to have been doing this forever, and there are literally hundreds of us here. If I can quote my pal wazza "No worries mate!"

        =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Don't rule out registrion clutch. Don't think the roller will be your issue. Also might want to check jam code history. That may point you in the proper direction.

The vertical rollers are important too. If the existing ones are black you should change them.

              Recap

Thank you all very much! Every post was helpful, and I have successfully repaired the machine.

I replaced the 3 pickup/separator rollers for the 2 cassettes(6 total), the registration roller, the lower door assembly and inner guide assembly. I then tested it. The top cassette/tray worked immediately with no problems. I then tested the bottom cassette/tray and the paper was stopping half way out of the cassette. I noticed on several tests that the paper had "burnout" marks from the bottom vertical roller in the same spot on every piece of paper. That told me the paper stopped after it left the cassette rollers, and the vertical roller spun against it but didn't grab it leaving marks. Guess what color that roller was ... black. I replaced the black vertical roller with the new gray roller, and voila!

There was another jam along the top, but that was a metal guide near the exit that was stopping it. I just had to push it into place.

I honestly give you guys most of the credit here, so thanks again!
