    3300 Skew

Getting a skewed copy from all trays from glass or feeder. Are there any alignment tools for the scanner? I don't see them in the manual. I'm going back Mon to check the arch under feed adj. Wondering if its scanner or maybe ccd. Prints come out straight.

Paper skew from both cassettes and bypass.
Check door specifications. If door specifications are correct then make changes in service mode under copier> Adjust> Feed-Adj> Arch. The default is set at 80; the range of setting is from -100 to +200.

Symptom is a 2-3 mm skew from all paper paths, issue was consistent from internal prints, copies off of the glass and network prints. Adjusting the Feed ADJ values in service mode had no effect on the symptom.

Solution was to replace the upper registration roller bushings, in this case the upper front bushing was worn which created uneven pressure front to rear.

Rear Bushing part # is FS5-1261-000
Front Bushing part # is FS5-1944-000

    imageRUNNER 2200 / 2220N / 2220i / 2800 / 3300 / 3320i / 3300i Image Has a Slight Skew

This can be caused by the Rear Registration Roller Bushing becoming misplaced. ( The Front Bushing can also cause the issue)
Check that not only the Bushings are installed correctly but that the Springs ( shown below ) are also attached.

Thanks for the info teckat. Wouldn't network prints also come out crooked if there was a bushing problem? I'll definitely check it all Monday though.

The registration roll bushings wear out of these machines. Just cheap plastic. Flip the front one over until you get a new set. Rear one is a pain to change

Then why would prints be straight but copies crooked?

            good point

            Focus on scanner
make sure the Scanner Drive Cable is not overlapping/ will cause issue between mirror 1 & 2

Sorry, I didn't read enough. Carriages are definitely crooked. Clean and oil the scan rails to start. I've had to adjust carriages on 3300 family. Basic rule in all optics..lead trail edge crooked, adjust lamp carriage. Skew down side, half-rate carriage. Loosen the screw clamp on the cable at the front of the machine and "rotate" (move position on cable)carriage at front. I'm talking move it a millimeter at a time.If the image looks skewed clockwise on the lead edge of the paper, move the front of the lamp carriage toward the left of its original clamp position,I believe. Again, SMALL MOVEMENT!Its been a while since i have done one. I used to be required to adjust this on Xeroxs all the time a long time ago. Been a LONG TIME!

Some machines have scanner adjustment tools that align the entire carriage. I guess the 3300 doesn't.
