    [CQ] imageRUNNER ADVANCE C7000 and C9000 Series>Calibration Process Procedures

    imageRUNNER ADVANCE C7000 and C9000 Series
    Ensuring Optimal Copy / Print Quality

    All end users want optimal copy / print quality when using their imageRUNNER ADVANCE C7000 /
    C9000 Series machine. In order to achieve optimal quality, there are steps that every end user should follow on a regular basis.
    These steps include:

    If these steps are not followed, print quality and consistency cannot be guaranteed. It is up to the end user to execute these steps whenever they deem print / copy quality has degraded.

    Performing these steps either daily or prior to a large print / copy job is advisable. It is strongly suggested that at the end of every service call, the technician also executes these steps to ensure customer satisfaction.

    Read the SERVICING PROCEDURE PDF.section for details on how to execute these steps.

    I remember running an auto gradation correction using the scanner to see and correct density on the clc1000 and then printing a fiery page and scanning it. Im confused is this tb relating to the image press (C7000 VP) because I dont see an IR advance 7000?

        Thx for the explanation. I would think then that the engines are virtually identical with the biggest difference being speed accomplished by software.

        Ive read that the image press C7000VP can maintain the same speed over different media types.

        Wondered what the significant engine differences are between the ir advance series and the image press?

        Like I said, like drinking water from a fire hose. Lots of information....lots of questions. I hope no questions are too dumb.

          imagePRESS COLOR & imageRUNNER ADVANCE COLOR / u can not compare them> Engines are way too different

          it's like comparing GOLD {imagePRESS COLOR}
          to COPPER {imageRUNNER ADVANCE COLOR}

            The production models for Oce had alot of the "gold" standards built in.
            Toner changes on the fly
            air fed paper feed system (12 mil between belt changes)
            paper sensors were "light barriers" - paper passes through a u shaped optical sensor.
            Firmware updated automatically when replacing a board - the main controller insures that the new board gets flashed.
            Starter is in the toner, no developer changes.
            Could use micr toner and custom colors.
            Maintained speed with paper weight differences.
            2 identical seperate engines
            2 levels of KOM (key operator maint)

            But I digress.
            Start date is the 27 Dec.
