    ir-550 drum seperation claw assembly

When making copies the paer is sliding across the drum claw assembly and streaking text on paper, i only have the problem when running letter normal and ledger. Copies are clean when copied on letter r and legal. I swapped out #1 drawer and still have the same issue, then swapped out the drum assembly and same result. Any ideas?. Thanks for replys.

Paper is stiffer running in Letter-R or Legal orientation, compared to Letter or Ledger. I suspect you have a separation issue that is causing the paper to raise up after transfer. Rewire or replace Transfer/Separation corona.

Like he said. Also check the suction fan. =^..^=

Well if you have swapped the transport drawer and the process unit then that should rule out corona assembly or suction fan. Check the HV contacts for trans/sep assembly inside the machine. Have you run it with cover off and door cheated and watched paper crawl up the drum? possible bad HV power supply. Check and monitor the currents in service mode

Thanks for all replys, after swapping out the drum assembly, high voltage pcb, and transfer fixing drawer, i still had the problem. I replaced both slide rails for drawer #1 and copier is working fine again. rail had no visable damage while in machine until i removed it and noticed rt side was bent up. Again thanks for all replys, and HAPPY NEW YEARS TO ALL.
