Canon IR 3300 Remote UI

Iam having canon ir3300, iwould like to install and use remote UI feature.

when iam trying to use this feature from my browser iam getting a message remote UI content is not found.RUI Module Version : 4201. i have cheked in my machine remote UI feature is on and checked the RUI Version also it is showing VER:40.01,can any body help me,how can i install the latest version of RUI in my machine.what are the requirements to do the same.

Have you tried to PING the IP address of the copier? Were you successful?

Sorry but you can t do it yourself.You don t have experience and tools for upgrade.
Better solution is calling Canon service.

are you authorized to access RUI ???


enable HTTP and RUI on the copier.
enable "Dedicated Port" on the copier
For MEAP Enabled Devices, please make sure that the proper MEAP version in Service Mode/Copier/Display/Version is also installed.
If everything fails, perform a Clear MMI. Also note that on MEAP enabled devices, USE HTTP under TCP/IP Settings and USE HTTP under MEAP Settings must be ON.

For upgrade, you need Service Support Tool and Firmware for Ir3300

Your copier is not MEAP enabled, you would need to have a 3320 to have access to MEAP.

I had problems last week with my own laptop not getting into the RUI of a copier after I screwed up an import of the Additional Functions in RUI. All attempts to get back in would not allow me to bring up the screen I wanted. Reloaded RUI and still could not get in. I then had a calm moment and remembered reading somewhere about clearing the browser cache. So I flushed all the IE cookies, files, etc, and I could then communicate once again. Worth a try!

If that does not work, I suggest you load the latest system software in it's entirety, so that all versions are known to be compatible with each other... No ,, I do not provide software.

Are u using Firefox or IE8 to access ?
Is your PC OP Vista or XP
You can try to swap RAM with another 3300 if possible

Try connecting your Laptop w/ a crossover cable to 3300 printer to access RUI- report back

CLEAR MMI in service mode, (Be sure to print out all user settings prior to performing MMI Clear,
They will be erased when MMI is cleared
