Our High end Color printer customers will not even look at or use anything less than 28lb. paper
+ You can't run two-sided Presentation papers on 20lb paper
    . It looks bad-

I have the same kind of customers. Most 20# papers seem to do ok with the ocassional humidity issues (flip paper and throw the moisture absorber from drum packing into each paper drawer) with the exception of an almost gray recycled paper.

Color, yes, I agree. This is a black and white machine. 20 lb. paper with good brilliance, low opacity will not cause image "see through" on duplex. Bottom line is Canon specs state the machine can run 20 lb. paper and thats what the customer expects.Any customer that runs 20 lb. on a color machine and expects good quality is an idiot.

When ever I use 20lb paper I have constant jams and paper curling, turn paper over and same thing happens, and jamming is especially annoying when doing double sided. I have tried everything I can think of changing paper orientation in tray where this works it slowed down productivity.

So we changed paper to 22 or 24 lb paper and have had very little to none paper jams.

Not all paper suppliers are honest about how paper is cut from the bolt
as a standard> all 8.5 x 11 should be cut the same way of the bolt> if not u will get that curl

u can't believe what I've seen customers use in these B&W PRINTERS,
boxes of unmarked paper, so u can't tell how it was cut
