    Canon 3225 dead

Have a 3225 when you turn on only the main power green light on the control panel comes on. Nothing else on machine runs. Tried ps and all day ps. Am I missing something simple?

It could be the LCD Lamp Inverter PCB in the OP panel. The part number is FM3-5744. Also it could be the memory DIMM PN WA7-5211.

You stated nothing runs >no initial rotation, when u turn on power switch/only green panel light !
u may have a stuck key , which will prevent LCD & POWER UP
      or >
If the Main Controller "registered value" ID does not match the REAL TIME CLOCK (RTC) ID,
the Main Controller Malfunctions; preventing the LCD display from powering up or no power to unit. By shorting JP1 on the Main Controller it will clear the RTC "registered value", to correct the ID between the Main Controller and RTC Circuit.
      Procedure:
      1.
      Turn OFF the Main Unit.
      2. Either unplug the power cord from the wall.
      3. Remove the rear cover of the Main Unit.
      4. Below the left leg of the Battery, jump JP1 for 3-5 seconds.
      5. Plug in the power cord and turn on the Main Unit.
      6. Verify that the Main Unit powers ON and that the LCD display works.
      7. Re-install the rear cover

Measures against the issue that the LCD Control Panel Unit of the Control Panel is not turned on/ The fault in the
Connector of the Inverter PCB Assembly

        a. The backlight of the LCD control panel unit of the control panel is not turned on.
        b. A fault in the connector of the inverter PCB assembly occurs.
        a. There is a fault in the transformer control circuit of the inverter PCB assembly (FM3-5744) [2] that controls
the LCD control panel unit (FL3-0489) [1].
        b. There is a fault in the circuit of the connector of the inverter PCB assembly (FM3-5744) [2] that connects the
LCD control panel unit (FL3-0489) [1].

Remember that poster states they have no initial rotation on Printer= meaning no power/
only that low v to green panel light

There are a ton of issues with the main controller on that series and the cost of the board is not cheap. Green light and no display are the usual symptoms.

Thanks for the replies. Tried jumping jp1 with no luck. Ended up replacing the main controller and that fixed it. FM4-1245.
              Thanks again.

not a problem Bob. It always makes me cringe when one of the techs calls me and describes that issue because I know it is always that main controller.

I have 65 IR32XX in an account local to me. Now replaced 5 of their main controllers for the above fault.

Then have the fun off re setting up uniflow on them.
