Hi, All

It seems that there are a lot of similar problems with this ruler...

At me such:

I turn on the device - on the display a dark blue background, on it the line of loading is hardly visible; it reaches the end and all...
buttons of the control panel don't react, it is impossible to enter into a mode of loading (thus at inclusion rotations of knots) are audible;
wanted to enter vrezhy loadings through "2 & TURN ON" - didn't help;
if to short-cut JP141, the device NOT TURNS ON ABSOLUTELY!!!

Exactly my problem. Unfortunately the links were removed I can't find the firmware v60.03 for IRC 1022A anywhere

please read teckat's reply, it is very explicit, as for firmware it is not of public access so it wont be just around, only canon certified techs have free access to it.

do not know what product line in USA that it's compatible with

you do not need to re-load firmware/

short pin method could jump u out of that download screen issue
report back if issue is not fixed

Just wanted to say thanks for the jpeg, shorting this pin removed the download standby message, after restart machine asked for toner, I fitted a new one & all is good. 😀

Machine powers up and Download Mode is displayed
Short the two pins at JP141 on the Image Processor Board. This can be done
with a screwdriver or an alligator clip.
This will reset the machine so system software can be re-flashed.

so this does not work--
To put the unit into download mode start with the power off.
Press and hold the 2 key only on the ten key pad and then power on the copier.
This puts the machine into the download mode. The screen will display Initializing.... for a few moments and then display Download Standby.
This method of getting into download mode can be used to recover a failed upgrade or to try to flash a machine that will not boot up and come to ready.

if applies to you----Take the PCL PCB out of the machine. -- then see if u can get into download mode, if so, power off, put back PCL and restart printer again.

iR1018 / iR1018J / iR1022A / iR1022F / iR1022i / iR1022iF
1) Turn off the main power switch of this machine, and then disconnect the cables connected to this machine.
2) Connect USB connector ( USB A to B) on the back of this machine to the PC using the USB cable.

2. Select "iR1022" in "Model List".
3. Double-click the "System" folder in "Model List" to check the system software version. Select "USB" in "Interface", and then click the "START" button.

press *Additional Functions Key > [ then #2key then #8key ]> then *Additional Functions Key

You were supposed to do the Boot first , when doing get 60 or newer.

Check and reseat connector J318 on the Image Processor and connector J1701 on the operation panel.

Remove ROM pcb and power up, see what happens.

The connectors are ok.

I tried to remove the ROM and starting the copier, but nothing changes...

There may be another way to restore the copier, or should I replace the ROM or the CPU card?
