    ir3235 non responsive

    Gday guys and girls,
Been out to look at a ir3235 this morning with no display or functioning controls. Machine will power on, scanner lamp lights up, sounds as if all motors and fans are running, main power light is the only thing working on display/control panel, machine will not print via network. Machine has only ADF as optional accessories. I have tried running machine without HDD and also checked and reseated all connectors. But still no change. I am not the best tech for fault finding issues like this. Im at the point where I believe main controller board is at fault. I hope someone can provide some info so I can confirm my suspicion or rule it out.

    Cheers

I'd say there's a pretty good chance that's your fix. We've had a few 2270's that warm-up fine but have blank unresponsive control panels except the green light. Main controller fix'd them. But another thing to check is the all night power supply.

facepalm? what mean?? I saw that post and got a good laugh.

Just read a bulletin about shorting jumper JP1 and check power supplies like you suggested. Failing that, I will replace the board.

        FIX
First attempt to reset JP1 failed. Disconnected power supply. Reconnected power supply. Fuse check all ok. Shorted JP1 successful. Machine up and running.

        Thanks for ya help D_I_P
