    NOISE --> IRC 2880i

-I had this machine that is making a non continuous squeeking(is this the spelling) sound.
-This not continuous sounds happens after it picked up the paper until paper comes out of the delivery.
-Sound is like 2 metals rubbing each other or 2 metals with heavy friction with each other. Or like the sound of a bird doing tweet tweet or tweeeeet tweeeeet or tweet tweeeeet (",).
-Was looking for metal to metal rotation, but all i see was plastic to plastic or metal to plastic.
-Lubricated all gears, plastic to metal contact that is rotating.
-Swap Fixing Assy, but still sounds come.
-ITB and drums are out of the picture since i was able to isolate them.

Sounds doesnt come during initialization or after print, only after paper was picked up and after released from delivery.

any brilliant ideas or opinions out there..

Only while it's printing? I've heard it on the B&W machines and it's normally the reg clutch.

yah, thats what a fellow tech here advise me to check. I check on the clutch, made a swap, but still sounds came. Wherever the paper comes, Cassette 1 or 2 or the SB, makes the tweeet tweeet. And yeah, only when it start to print, not during initialization.

The steel grounding strap on the steel registration roller can produce some annoying sounds when dry. Relube with conductive grease.

i checked already on that mrfixit, it was still very much well lubricated, and added some lubrication still...

is there any metal to metal contacts there that are rotating? all i see are plastic to plastic and plastic to metal...

Sure it is not an internal finisher that tweets? What happens when double-sided printing? Tried swapping the upper PPU ass'y with a lower one? Sometimes PPU ass'y squeeks. The upper one keeps rotating, also when printing from the second or 3rd cassette... Trust this ideas will help a bit.

I have also lubed all the plastic/steel combination's on the right hand door assembly. Registration and transfer rollers on door included. I have pulled the 3 way mechanism off the top of the feed path and lubed the heck out of that as well.

We're clutching a straws now. At this point I'd be telling the customer.
"yes I can stop the squeak. But I am going to have to strip the machine so far down to eliminate it, that your copier is going to be unavailable for at least three days. That's if I work on it non-stop and nothing else but your machine. Or you can live with the squeak."

I hear ya',, I visited a customer who wanted their copier squeak eliminated. Took me 3 hours to strip down and build back up the back of the copier to get to the main drive cluster and lubricate the assembly, and while I was working on it they were complaining that they could not get prints, faxes, or copies.

I reminded them that "I did not just show up,, you called me!"

i check all those ideas u gave me, still the bird is inside, until finally i decided to remove DC controller PCB and DC Driver PCB to pay a visit to the motor for the fixing unit. Spray DW40 on the hole on it, assemble back and test 100copies all in all... BIRD's GONE!!!

problem solved guyz, thank you for all the opinion...
