It is behind the controller box assy. You will have to remove the Hard disk.It is quite a task but if yu remove the back cover yu can sus it out.Trace from the waste toner bottle. Why do yu need to remove it?Does it click?Maybe the plastic gears at the front behind the hopper are worn also if the cleaner is clogged up.
I'm just guessing, but I think you're referring to the recovery/drum cleaning unit. This model is renound for not cooling the interior well enough. Since the drum cleaning unit is directly abouve the fuser the toner in the cleaning unit fuses solid as a rock.
The first thing to do is remove the inner front cover and find out if the drive gears are ground to dust (probably). There is a small gear pack on the front of the imaging unit, that removes with ony a few screws. Also the auger can be damaged by trying to drive fused toner.
To prevent this clean all fan filters, and confirm that all fans run.
To remove the recovery unit, open the upper right door & remove the developing unit. Be careful to unplug the toner sensor at the front frame. The plug will be damaged otherwise. From the front remove all the corona units. Slide out the fuser drawer. Remove the retainer screw & lock in the drum shaft. Slide out the imaging unit.
The recovery can now be removed. Now you can chisel out the chunks of toner. Chisel & vac, chisel & vac, rotate, rotate, chisel, vac...
Replace the broken gears. Check the auger. Re-assemble.
I wish I could help with more detail. Its been quite a few years since I've seen this one.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
