    photo request

I need to explain to a remote tech a photo of:

"Upper and Lower Pre-Transfer Guides with electrical tape"

I am at the beach until Thursday, so I don't have access to office.

Anyone has a photo of applying black electrical tape on those guides ?

    thnx...

I'm not familiar with this, but it sounds like a really bad idea to me. Vinyl tape does not stick that well long term, and isn't that great an insulator for high voltage. It's just going to peel off and get wound up in a cleaning unit, then cause you a not cleaning issue. Can you be more specific? What model, and what is this supposed to fix? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Long time ago,,, I remember that fuser bias from incorrectly mounted bushing on upper roller, and replacing the xfr/sep corona normally addressed that issue...

I need a photo of "electrical tape applied to Upper and Lower Pre-Transfer Guides" to send to a guy, who can't understand me via phone conversation...

I need to show him where to apply the tape.

I am out of office, so my access is limited.

PS: going for a late evening swim right now...

I have never used tape as the fix, I have always sought out the problem and resolved it instead of using this faux fix of tape, so I cannot provide you with any pictures.

              Have a good vacation!!

Let the people back in your world do the best they can without your involvement. The very nature of vacation is to put work aside and spend all your vacation time relaxing. When I am vacationing, I make myself inaccessible to the rest of the world. Just an old farts advice...
