    [CQ] IRADV 2030i ghosting/offsetting

I have a newish canon iradv 2030i colour mc only done 15k black and 2k colour
we use genuine canon toner and the firmware is v 20.70
it is ghosting offsetting seems more prominent on black the distance between the offsetting is about the circumference of the fix film so i replaced the fuser unit still doing it
has anyone else had offsetting ghosting images are there any adjustments to counteract this i have tried various fuser adj in service mode taking temp up and down still doing it either way any reports of this elsewhere all help and advice appreciated thanks

    imageRUNNER ADVANCE C2020 / C2030

The residual toner accumulated on the Upstream Brush increases, potential cannot be equalized when outputting solid white and solid black after transferring to the ITB so that the failure occurs. This may cause a "Drum Ghost".

    Drum Ghost
    1. Specify the color with which ghost occurs by visual check
    2. Increase the level of Upstream DC bias by 1
    (L2) COPIER>ADJUST>HV-PRI>USUB-xDC
    3. If the trace of Upstream Brush has not disappeared, decrease the level of Upstream DC bias by 1
    4. Decrease the amount of toner deposit
    (L2) COPIER>OPTION>IMG-MNCON>TNR-DWN
    5. If the issue still persists, replace the Drum Unit of the specific color
    6. Return the service mode setting value to the default

    Added Note*********REMINDER
When printing at 1200 dpi the default behavior of the IR is to make a prediction based on results from 600 dpi gradation control. To resolve this you must perform an Auto Gradation Adjustment for 1200 dpi and then another for 600 dpi.

To display this option please make the following adjustment in service mode level 1:
    COPIER > OPTION > DSPLY-SW > HPFL-DSP > 2.

Then perform both of the following steps:

    1. Additional Functions > Adjustment/Maintenance > Adjust Image Quality > Auto Adjust Gradation > For Printer 1200 dpi > Adjust
    2. Additional Functions > Adjustment/Maintenance > Adjust Image Quality > Auto Adjust Gradation > Standard > Full Adjust

Once this is done, the output of 1200 dpi prints should be improved as expected.

**Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.**
