    you can try this

    under network settings

use RAW is off turn it ON and restart copier

on your laptop windows 7 using IP printing via net cable---
    open printers/devices
double click printer icon brings up "print dialog" or job window
select printer menu at top goto properties
    opens print driver dialog box
    select port tab
    select configure port button
confirm that ip address is correct and that RAW radio button is selected port number is 9100 and snmp is checked confirm no jobs are in the job window and click OK then Apply if available on print driver dialog

Test printing without using a printer driver-

When troubleshooting, you may want to isolate a print communication problem from a printer driver problem.
The following are examples of sending basic print jobs to the device without installing or using a printer driver.
-LPQ/LPR commands: Use this method to test a print job using the device's LPD port, which is port number 515 by default.
            1. Open a Command Prompt on your PC.
            2. Enter the following command: 'lpq -S xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx -P lp' and hit Enter.
NOTE: Where 'xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx' is the IP Address of the printer and 'lp' is the queue name of the device. The above command is for a device using a Canon print controller. If the device has a Fiery controller, the queue name will be 'print'. This command will not actually send a print job, it will establish a connection
            with the device.
            3. Enter the following command: 'lpr -S xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx -P lp -d filename' and hit Enter.
NOTE: The -S, -P and -d tags are case sensitive. As is step 2 above, the queue name must be correct for the device you are printing to (Canon controller, Fiery controller, etc). Also,
'filename' must be replaced with the full path to a simple text file to be used in the test print job. For example, to be used in the test print job. For example, 'C:\windows\win.ini', but you can use any text file that you choose. This command will send the print job and it should output at the device.
-Telnet command: Use this method to test a print job using the device's RAW port, which is port 9100 by default.
            1. Open a Command Prompt on your PC.
            2. Enter the command: 'telnet xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx 9100' and hit Enter.
NOTE: Where 'xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx' is the IP Address of the printer. If the connection to the device is successful, the Command Prompt will go blank except for a blinking cursor in the top, left corner of the Command Prompt window.
            3. Type in any text string you like, for example, 'This is a RAW test print' and hit Enter.
NOTE: You will not see any text entered into the Command Prompt window, the cursor may or may not move, but text is being entered.
            4. To exit out of the Command Prompt you must click the 'X' (Close) button in the top, right corner of the Command Window.
The text you entered should then print out on the device.

              I agree with Teckat.
If there was a rip on that machine, it would go together with a Copier boot Rom.
You either need to find that rip, buy one (I believe teckat has some sources for that), or buy/get an N boot rom.

It appears that you have the COPIER ONLY version of iR105, your BOOTROM version is 23.40 C, of course it will not print.
I have the same problem with my iR7105, the BOOTROM version is 50.47 C and PS/PCL shows ---- (not available).
The only way to solve this problem is to buy a MULTI PDL PRINTER KIT E1 ,you receive only an N BOOTROM and CD's containing printer drivers.
Replace the BOOTROM and you can print.

                  hello,
as i earlier told, if u want to make printouts then then just leave usb to parallel cable

take a lan cable (cross cable) to connect ur laptop to ir105 and install driver as i earlier mentioned.

most probably the problem will be solved.

A crossover cable should be used when connecting hardware directly to a computer.
A standard (straight through) cable should be used when connecting hardware to a computer through an Ethernet hub or switch.
A standard CAT 5 cable has a 1-to-1 mapping of pins from one connector to another.
A crossover cable connects the transmission pins from one end to the receive pins on the other end (crosses them over, hence the name).

If you do not know whether your cable is a crossover cable or standard Ethernet cable, this can be verified by sight.
Most of the time you will be able to see the color of the individual wires through the connectors. You can then use the table below to determine if the cable is a crossover cable or a standard Ethernet cable. You can also use a multimeter to probe the connections. Connect the positive end of the multimeter to a pin on one end of the cable and probe the pins on the other end of the cable to figure out if two ends have the same pin connections. If they are the same on both ends, it's a straight through cable. Otherwise, it's a crossover cable.
When performing Ethernet communication, the transmit pins on one device need to be connected to the receive pins on the other device. A router or hub will perform this crossover function internally, thus standard Ethernet cables should be used with them, or any device that performs this internal crossover function.

When connecting two devices directly, there is no intermediate device to perform the needed crossover function, so you will need to use the cable itself to do the job. Standard Ethernet ports are also referred to as MDI (Medium Dependent Interface) ports. The ports on a router, hub, or switch will have an internal crossover connection configuration known as MDIX (Medium Dependent Interface Crossover).

The PCL/PS was --.-- print kit not installed, you can attach any cable you like, and it still will not print! It needs either the print kit, or an imagepass...

The driver is for the PC, not the copier...
