Diagram below illustrates how to check for a bias short in the paper feeder guide. There shouldn't be any continuity at the two points in the photo below, where the black lead is simply on the frame ground. If it is shorting to frame ground, check for wear on green bushing on the registration roller shaft.

Another thing to inspect is the condition of the black mylar shields for the Upper and Lower Pre-Transfer Guides. At the rear side of the Upper Fuser roller there is a Fixing Bias tab that can become bent or deformed. At this point, arcing can occur which will load down the High Voltage Transformer causing the code. Check and make sure the Fixing Bias tab is making direct contact with the Fixing Bias line plate and is not contacting the frame of the Fuser unit.If the black mylar shields are wrinkled, ripped, torn or frayed, arcing of the Transfer Guide bias may occur, which will cause the E069 code.
Try covering the Upper and Lower Pre-Transfer Guides with electrical tape

You are right Watson. There is a thin black collar in the back. And we all know that the heat will cause this to
get brittle and brake easily.
Tip's are a normal part of the process of elimination. First I eliminate the problem I induced, that's when I usually find
the problem I came in for in the first place.
Lighten up Derekwb, life is to short to be angry for no reason.
Nice post Teckat
Thanks
