hello to every body. i have a size deduction problem in ir3045 . in dadf no problem. the auto cassette selection is berfect when i used dadf. but in platen glass the auto cassette selection is not deduct for A4R only. A4 & A3 are ok. can any friend help me to solve this issu. thanks in advance.

Paper size sensors or the reader controller board are the normal culprits, I had to replace a reader board this past spring for that issue in a 3035..."Once a King, always a King, but once a Knight is enough!"

Check the operation of PS501 and PS502 in Service Mode > I/O > RCON > P006-7,P006-5 using the DADF to actuate the sensors.
Remove wire ties from PS501 & PS502
confirmed in service mode level 1 COPIER>OPTION>BODY>MODEL-SZ is set to 1.
++++ Check & set > SENS_CNF in service mode to 1
service mode>LEVEL2>COPIER>OPTIONS>BODY>SENS_CNF = 1

thank you mr teckat, i did as you told.it was working fine. but after fix the A3 cassette in 3rd drayer, again same problem. now A4 original & A4r original select A3 cassette only. if i remove A3 cassette it is ok. any other settings to solve this? thanks.Comment

machine uses the following sensors; and the sensors are arranged as shown in the following figure:
-for main scanning direction, reflection type photo-sensors (AB-configuration, 2 locations; Inch-configuration, 1 location).
-for sub scanning direction, reflection type photo-sensors (AB-configuration, 2 locations; Inch-configuration, 2- locations)
In identifying the size of an original, the data from original size identification processing 1 and data from original size identification processing 2 are compared, and the difference between these 2 sets of data is checked.
If any of the following is true, the output of the sensors may not show any change, preventing the machine from correctly identifying the size:
-the original is an A3 black original
-the original is a book (its thickness may not allow the copyboard cover to close fully, thus preventing the detection of a change in the sensor level).
-the copyboard cover is not closed fully (when a time-out condition occurs, there will be no detection of a change in the sensor level).

1) Press the Additional Functions key.
2) Select the Common Settings option.
3) Scroll until you see the option for Drawer Eligibility for APS/ADS.
4) Depending on which model imageRUNNER being set, some of the following options are available for selection: Copy, Printer, Mailbox, Fax, and Other.
5) Once the selection of Copy, Printer, Mailbox, Fax, or Other is made, go to the cassette where the paper is located and select On .
