[Error Code] Canon imageCLASS MF4150 scanner lamp (E225 and consistent behavior)

The lamp is dying in one of my Canon imageCLASS MF4150 units (error E225; intermittent washed-out streaks on scans).

I regrettably lack the right documentation for this; and ENOTIME for taking the contraption apart just to figure out what possibly-integrated part(s) would need swappage, should I choose to actually fix a very

    Replace the CIS unit=FK2-2869-000
    1) Open the copyboard glass cover [1] and detach it upward.
Pull out the hinge [2] on the left side while tilting it toward the rear side.
Be sure to put the copyboard glass cover that you detached onto the mount
etc., so as not to damage the cable.
    2) Remove the 4 screws [3], and detach the copyboard glass cover [4].
    3) Remove the copyboard glass cover [5].
Be sure not to get the bottom surface of the scanner glass soiled.

    4) Remove the 2 spacers [1].
    5) Remove the contact sensor unit [2] upward.

Be sure to fit the gear [1] of the belt with the gear [2] on the bottom surface of the contact sensor unit.

    6) Disconnect the connector [1].

    7) Turn the contact sensor [1] in the direction shown by the arrow, remove
    the 2 shafts [2]
, and then remove the contact sensor [1].

I need your help because my Canon imageCLASS MF4150 doesn't work any more

when I connect the power to it the LCD panel flashes for seconds and then I listen to some motors going, but the connected computer doesn't see it
and the LCD and all its buttons with no light or respond

          any suggestion ?

          Thanks a lot

The machine's control panel consists of the following PCBs, and is controlled by the SCNT board.

            SCNT board<->ASIC

            SCNT board<->ASIC <->Operation panel
            LED
            LCD
            Key SW

In the case of troubles with power supply PCB such as short circuit to loads, and resulted in occurring overcurrent or over over voltage, there is a protecting function for overcurrent/over voltage to automatically shut the output voltage to avoid fault of power supply PCB.

In the case that the protecting function for overcurrent/over voltage is activated, it recovers by turning off the main power switch to handle the load trouble, and then, turning on the main switch again. Also, there are 2 pc of fuses in PCB. If there is overcurrent in AC line, fuse is blown out and power distribution is shutdown.

first thing is to check for proper wall voltage supply/ where are u located ?
            do u have a voltage meter ??

did u try to get in service mode--additional Functions Key-then #Key

I am located in The US so its 110 and I do have voltage meter could you let me know how to check the fuses
also I will check the service mode and will keep you posted thanks again for your professional help

Put the meter on AC Volts, 200V range.
For residential US service you should have 120V between hot and neutral, 120V between hot and ground, and 0V between neutral and ground.
Remember: narrow prong is hot, wide prong is neutral, round prong is ground.
                NOTE:
Don't set your meter to current or you will zap it. Resistance shouldn't damage it, but the reading will be worthless.

not sure what type of fuses are on that board--

Remember there are two power supplies in this printer

1-Power Supply/THIS IS THE ONE TO CHECK
                PS.JPG
                -Remove the front cover.
                -Remove the right cover.
                -Remove the left cover.
                -Remove the rear cover

-Remove the power supply board [3].
                - 2 connectors [1]
                - 6 screws [2]
                -------------------------------------------------------
don't think u need to deal this HVPS which is near fix unit--

                    see if they are removable

u can do a visual check if fuses are glass/(broken filament) or continuity test
if solid / u need to do a continuity test

important to understand that if a fuse looks good, it might not in fact be good!
Fuses can appear to be fine and have a break in them so small that it cannot be seen by the naked eye! Therefore it is important to check a fuse with an Ohmmeter or a continuity tester instead of assuming that it is good.

Use a multimeter and set the range switch to the lowest resistance range to check the fuse. A good fuse will read 0 ohms (depending on what the meter reads when the leads are held together) and a bad fuse will read the same as holding the leads in the air.

A quick test for a filament type fuse is to flick your finger against the end of the fuse - if the filament vibrates much, it's open.
