    [Jamming] iR-c5870 jamming on 11x17

    Hi, Fellows,
A customer has this iR-c5870 which runs great, as long as it is letter size paper. When they try to copy or print on ledger size, it jams with Code: 020D-4 (PS-14, Stationary jam).

I have done the following (and tested extensively after each try.):
    - Installed New paper rollers for Cassette #4,
    - Replaced #4 Paper Pickup Assembly,
    - Moved 11x17 paper to Cassette #3 (still jams, 020D-3)
    - Replaced PS-14,
    - Replaced Reverse Roller Assembly with the two door:
Internal Paper Delivery door (new one-way gear).
    Revese Paper Delivery door.
    - Replace M10, Duplex Reversing Motor.
    - Replaced Fuser Unit.
    - Replaced Feeding Driver PCB (in front of Tray-1).
    - Installed spacers on three rear connectors of Tray-1
    - Updated firmware to latest version.

Still jams, always same code (020D-4)

The machine runs several pages ok, about 5 or 10 and then jams (code 020D-4). The paper is right there, laying over the Internal Delivery Door. It is stuck and it appears wavy, as if it is choking in the guides.

Note, this only happens if the page needs be reversed (face-down). the only time it does not jam is when the paper exits face-up; that is, multiple copies of single original.

What to do? Thanks for your help.

You have covered everything, it seems.
did fl2-0405 come on any of those assemblies you replaced.
It is the most common cause of jamming on that model,in that area, not sure what code it causes.
the mylar rips , causing paper to stall. .( I know ,letter does not jam)

fm2-0485 is for wavy paper and 010e, but you havee already changed that.

My next bet would be cutting tie wraps.( I never used to believe in it , but I now know it works)
Watch the sensor in I/O mode , you might see some indication of a problem.

Add a extra wrap to PS 12 sensor flag tension spring

      change Service Mode in Level 2 COPIER > OPTION > BODY > FX-SPD from -3 to 0
or try +3 (large size paper)

check if Delivery cooling fan 1 (FM6) is working- no error code for this fan

      nothing left

Teckat, I tried your suggestions one by one. The one that seems to have done it was the speed-Adj (FX-SPD). I will check with my customer again this week.

        Thanks, man.
