    Test Print
For automatic gradation correction, test print is performed to 4 sheets. Dmax-Pascal control
is performed, using 1 out of these 4 sheets.

service mode>copier>test>PG input your test page number in PG-TYPE and choose OK. Go to page 2 and choose your drawer selection and quantity hit ok for both and then hit your start button.

I would highly recommend getting a manual for this machine. Also when in service mode there is a green button at the bottom of the screen which gives you a description of the test mode menu.

so do you still have concerns with the quality of this machine? Did the colors and grey output improve after running the auto gradation?
Is your paper type set correctly? Are the drums, developer and ITB in good condition?

The first auto gradation page you ran looks normal with the white space.

                    that is correct.
Also has the ITB upgrade kit been installed along with the latest firmware release?
