IR 5055N ERR0 E0004-0103

[COPIERTEC ASSOCIATES]

This machine having run 50 copies now shows error E0004-0103 remember the wiring had been destroyed by the rats and rewired.Whenever i try to reset in service mode the error re-appears ,checked the fuser element tis ok and the whole fixing unit.even fixing unit switch pcb all components are ok.Any suggestions welcome ,thanks.

Check Fixing Thermistor

Due to the breakage of Dumet Wire of the Fixing Thermistor, (abnormal rise in temperature)/ E004 (IH
Power error/ IH Control Mechanism error) may occur.

You have all new destroyed cables i believe.

I had this issue and had to replace DC.

Heater element does not go on at all ,any problem with the DC pcb?

Thanks so much Gensys for your referal thread on ir 6570 it really assisted me a lot.Infact there were faulty components caused by the acidic urine of the rats.some diodes were shorting and rusty resistors were replaced and machine running ok. Let me in a special way thank Teckat for the illustrative diagrams posted on that thread thanks so much guys!

sorry for not mentioning the board in question ,it is the Induction heater supply pcb.

i have same problem since 2 months and i didnt left anything to change from dc,ih pcb,main board,unit one , duplex,cylinder , drum unit ,ac pcb,upper assembly and the error wont go , till i changed the machine body to another one ,but i didnt stop seeking for the solution but till now i didnt know what is going on in this machine ,as i read the in the previous threads i noticed that this happened with lots of colleagues and i have a question where the IH cable guide unit located ,and i didnt know where actually is it the one that the unit 1 connect it inside the machine !!


im totally dizzy with that problem :/

basically, e004 related with the fuxing unit. Have u tried to swap a whole fixing unit from other machine? If u've tried to swap with other unit and the result were still the same, then the problem might be at your DC controller or the wiring after fixing unit to DC Controller.
