Canon Ir4570 solid line on copies

Hi i have a canon Ir4570 with a solid black line when making copies from the document feeder. The white roller is cleaned and the slipscreen or small glass is cleaned, there is nothing i can see on the small glass or the white roller.

Copies are ok when made from the platain.

Have anyone come across this problem?

    Thanks

Most often, it's just a tiny spot of ink on the slit glass, that you didn't see. I know most manufacturers recommend cleaning the slit glass with a dry towel, but have you ever cleaned anything with a dry towel? Try using a little alcohol on a towel. It will loosen up ink that you cannot see.

Sometimes dirt on mirror #1 can cause this same effect. I know it's illogical, but due to the angle of the mirrors a different area of the mirror is used OC (off the contact glass) than through the slit glass, so also clean the rest of the optics. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

The defect occurs in print? When making copies the original glass is the defect? The risks only occur when using the DADF? if the answer the first two questions is not the answer the second question is yes then you should check the document glass or DADF one small glass, wipe with a soft cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol.

I did all this, i took off the small glass and cleaned it with alcohol and i got the same result, solid line. Now remember this machine has no optics.

It may have no mirrors, but there is a lens that can get dirty.

Sorry. It still comes back to the slit glass. =^..^=

In ADF mode: by original stream reading with contact image
            sensor (CIS) fixed in position

The machine changes the original read point depending on the presence/absence of dust on the stream reading glass or the platen roller of the ADF, or it may execute image correction to prevent the dust from showing up in the output.
These operations are carried out only when the ADF is in use and, in addition, is closed:

ADF reading glass is an Optic
            Copyboard Glass is an Optic
            White Plate is an Optic
            CIS is an Optic
            BD sensor is an Optic
            Dust-Proof Glass is an Optic
