Everyone that has him on ignore say something. LOL
Color is not 4 times harder... it's 65,000 times harder. They call it "TECH MODE" for a reason. I have manual's and firmware for ya, course... you are going to have to earn it.

First, we need to convince him to get his hands DEEPER into the machine (around the HV or PSU), and that power MUST BE LEFT ON with the INTERLOCK CHEATED to perform this repair!!!

And DON'T LET GO of the parts just cuz you're being shocked to death, man up, wussy! It's what WE do EVERY DAMN DAY for a living!!!!

Now my latest laser problem is that I get horizontal (sheet in portrait orientation) cyan, magenta, yellow and back bands about 1/2" thick every 3 inches or so on the page.

What could be causing this and how do I fix it?

Seems like you're determined to do high volume on small equipment my friend. Try buying a Business class machine instead of the small cheap equipment you always seem to be choosing. Don't be surprised when you get what you paid for.

Get rid of the Canon and buy a Kyocera color printer. Incredibe output quality, not too pricey. cost of ownership lowest there is. Repairs easily, everything unit based. Supporta any platform, includubg A/S400. Lots of built in featrues, easy to connect to network. I'm not a sales guy, just the guy who sees broken gear all day and all I do with Kyocera printer, both b&c and color are install them and deliver toner. Awsome machines.

What would help me the most is an answer to this thread I just posted:

Can I delete my account from this useless website?
Answer: Remove email notifications, stop posting, and stop visiting this site! I bet you're too stupid to do that, though. You can't stop pestering us like the sick little troll that you are! If you are not willing to take the advice of professionals then stay away, please. We want to help people who actually want to be helped, not small minded little twerps like you that are too stupid to even find their way out of bed in the morning.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Coke in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!".

Has it really been 9 years since our little encounter with aab1?

I remember his charming rant about having so much difficulty signing up that he selected random keyboard characters for his username. It's appropriate, really ...
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
                              1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
                              2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
                              3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
                              4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
                              5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
