Check the surface of the cylinder of the developer unit is not worn, remember that the cylinder of the developer unit of this machine is black.
check if values are equal up to the values of service mode.

If that is the situation, I usually polish the drum, change corona wires, clean the dust blocking glass at the laser window and emptying the developing unit and fill it with new toner.
Also check the machine's settings is the same as printed on the label on the front door.

                          hello to all respected member,

this is my first post to copytechnet.

im having similar issue in my ir6570. few days back my main controller failed to work.
it takes few 7-8 days to replace the main controller. within this span of week it was heavy rainfall
in my area. after turning on the machine i did not get the copy quality as i was getting before.
the tech told me it would take a day to recover the machine to its original copy quality.
but still after 4 days im not getting the required quality.
whether its copy or print its not coming black its in grayscale. i mean to say very light.

                          ANY HELP OR SUGGESTION

There is a Drum Heater Switch located above the Power cable inlet. The with dot should be pushed to turn on the Heater.
Because of the heavy rainfall, the Drum get humid and will not give a good copy quality.
Turning On the Drum Heater will get rid of the humidity of the Drum, usually 6 to 12 hours.
