    ir1023

has anyone tried to install an adf onto an ir1023 from another machine? I have 2 ir1023 (platen top). Also have 2 iR1023N's with adf's. When I install the adf onto the 1023 from one of the N versions, I get fuzzy copies from the feeder, seems to feed fine, they are just blurry, fuzzy, and light from the feeder. Is there an adjustment in the SM that I am missing. Is there something particular that needs to be changed. I figured just plug and play. Not so with these, Have tried both feeders on both machines. the platen models I have are very low meter and have a customer that only needs the copy function. Any tips??? Thanks!!

Have you tried upgrading the machine. In a clear and after all update installed machine with DADF. It may be that certain.

No I haven't tried that and honestly do not have the system software for this series but may need to locate it. thought maybe needed to adjust it in SM. Also thought maybe just can't put feeder on this, or maybe need to move the network print with it. Don't know and can't figure it out by the manual.

I doubt there is any adjustment, but there as the holders that the CIS glides on that might not be installed on your device because it was a platen top and not DADF equiped....see PDF>>>>http___www.techsupport.cusa.canon.com_utility_printArticle.pdf

Well, it looks like the spacers are already installed, was hoping they were missing.

Thanks teckat, I did finally see that, but guess I didn't believe it. I gave up and will just use them to usb print in the shop or part out.
