Re: Canon NP 6020 Jams at output
Could it be an NP-6025 or an NP-6030 maybe?
If yes, it's probably the web you're looking at. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: Canon NP 6020 Jams at output
If your hear any loud snapping or popping sounds, it my brain straining back 10 years ...
I found this record. Maybe it will help:
Web feeds out of the copier. The fixing fan seizes causing heat fatigue in the web advance gear 37T. Gear 37T breaks where it links to the web core. With no web drive, the web can unwind freely. Replace the fixing fan assembly new style (FG5-3318-020), which incorporates the duct into the fan housing. Replace web advance gear 37T new style (FF5-5707-000), Also check top and left side covers for heat damage.
Good luck finding any of these parts nowadays. This machine has been unsupported for a long time. If the web has been in the machine over a year, the heat will evaporate off a lot of the fuser oil, causing it to resist unrolling. It can sound like its ripping, it's glued on so tightly. If the web has been there for over a year replace it (if it's available). =^..^=Last edited by blackcat4866; 01-31-2012, 03:41 AM.If you'd like a serious answer to your request:

Re: Canon NP 6020 Jams at output
Should be easy to find someone in Cleveland that can remove the fuser. The cleaning web has wrapped around the rollers and needs to be removed. Then the old web just needs to be reinstalled or if it is too damaged....a new web installed. It's a very simple repair on that model. After installing the web your tech can actuate the web drive by hand to see if the gears are feeding the web properly. Good luck ......sigpicAnything can be made to work if you fiddle with it long enough- San Diego Copier Repair.comComment
