    [Misc] Roller Mark - Fuser?

    Hi Guys,

I am having a problem with a canon ir2270, I have attached a copy of the problem - Black roller mark equal spaced out on the paper.

It only appears after the fuser unit - however none of the rollers are that size near the fuser unit.. so I am thinking its a mark on one of the rollers/films in the fuser unit.

I am still a BIG newbie when it comes to copiers.. infact its the only one I am supporting, normally I just look after printers.

can anyone throw me some ideas.. and if its the fuser unit that needs replacing then where I can get one from - google is normally my friend but not today :-(

hoping some one out there can help...

if you run 5 copies, do marks move around or stay in same area?

      Replace the drum.

        Sorry for the delays guys.

They slowly move by about 1inch per sheet

The drum looks clean no marks what so ever - ( I would have thought to have seen some marks like I do on replacing hp laserjet fusers)

The only part of the fixing unit that has any marks on is the silver roller and thats caked in black specs.

sorry if I am coming over dim - I know i should treat it like a large hp laserjet.

I thought about replacing the drum but dont want to look like a muppet infront of the customer if it didnt fix it.

If the interval is 95.5mm it's the drum. It's probably not cleaning an area of the drum due to wear on the surface. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
            1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
            2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
            3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
            4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
            5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
