Sorry, scratch the whole laser change.

I did that on a machine the customer had previously in. I haven't changed the laser at all on this 2880i !!

I have tried removing and re-seating the board that goes to the left of the HDD (Vertically - RB-A2 PCB ASSEMBLY)

Still have the same error code.

RB-A PCB=PCL Printer Kit-Q1

PS Printer Kit-Q1 requires that PCL Printer Kit-Q1 and iR 512MB Expansion RAM-C1 be previously installed.

Color PS Printer Kit, it must be activated by registering a
license key, after the memory of the machine has been expanded to 1,536 MB
this is for the 3380/2880 series and not the i series

did u check the memory set up/


In order for the PS Kit Q1 to work correctly the PCL Printer Kit Q1 is required

what is a dodgey connection ???

to me it seems that u created more of an issue then u originally had-

When a working printer is shipped from one location to another/ before my techs power it up>

they check all those inserted PCB's on Main C- to make sure nothing popped lose>

One of the connections that was in the DC-Controller wasnt slotting into its slot correctly.

It wasn't a board, it was a connection onto a board.

That's usually the way with me, a problem that would take someone a week to figure out I do in 2 mins. Yet a simple problem takes me forever
