    i back with pucture to my problem ir 6570

    hi all

    i came back ...

    this is my problem

    1- i put the paper in feeder A4R

    IMG_20120623_175812.jpg

    2- and i hit the green key for copy then look it's A3 ... why ?
    IMG_20120623_175837.jpg

    i want to be A4R and print it from cassette #3 ...

    you have to do feeder width sensor adjustments.

      Re: i back with pucture to my problem ir 6570

      Poster has been given adjustment procedure before--

      COPIER > FEEDER > FUNCTION

      TRY-A4 Use it to execute automatic adjustment of paper width detection
      reference point 1 of the ADF original pickup tray. (A4)

      TRY-A5R Use it to execute automatic adjustment of paper width detection
      reference print 2 of the ADF original pickup tray. (A5R)

      TRY-LTR Use it to execute automatic adjustment of paper width detection
      reference point 1 of the ADF original pickup tray. (LTR)

      TRY-LTRR Use it to execute automatic adjustment of paper width detection
      reference point 2 of the ADF original pickup tray. (LTRR)

      COPIER > OPTION > BODY

      MODEL-SZ ---Use it to switchover the default magnification ratios and ADF original size detection.
      0: AB (6R5E)
      1: inch (5R4E)
      2: A (3R3E)
      3: AB/inch (6R5E)

      select 3 > if u use both AB and Inch Paper / or 0 if u use only AB Paper

      if the DF has no issues with other size paper recognition /
      replace sensor in tray
      or ADF driver PCB

      AB/INCH identification sensor
      PI3

      The machine possesses the following 2 modes of operation to suit different printing modes:
      a. normal mode (other than mix of different configurations or extra-length)

      Original size identification

      Feed direction== monitors the state of the post-separation sensor (on/off) after the read sensor goes on to identify the original as being small or large.
      Sensor used==post-separation sensor, read sensor

      checks the length of the original placed in the original pickup tray;identification of LTR and LGL.
      Sensor used==LGL sensor
      -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
      Cross-feed direction==checks the width of the original placed in the original pickup tray.
      Sensor used==original width volume (VR1)

      identification between A4R/A5R and LTRR/ STMTR
      Sensor used==AB/inch sensor

      ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

      A. Normal Printing
      The machine identifies the size of an original with reference to combinations of the size (width, length) detected on the original tray and the size (length) detected while the original is being moved.
      a. Detecting the Size of the Original in Feed Direction
      The machine detects the size of an original in feed direction with reference to the state of the post-separation sensor (PI7) after the read sensor (PI8) has gone off and the state of the LGL sensor (PI4)on the tray (LGL/STMT).
      The machine measures the length of the time from when the read sensor goes on to when it goes off to find out the length of the original; it then uses the result of the measurement and the result of detection made on the original tray to identify the size of the original.

      When an original is placed on the original tray, the light-blocking plate operates in keeping with the detecting lever of the LGL sensor to block the light of the photo interrupter. The machine identifies whether or not the original is LGL with reference to the LGL sensor signal (LG_S) and the width of the original. The machine communicates the original size information to the host machine as soon as the Start key is pressed.

      b. Detecting the Size of the Original in Width Direction.
      The width of an original is detected using the original width detecting volume (VR1) found inside the original tray.
      The volume operates in conjunction with the slide guide, its resistance changing (analog) as the slide is moved. The ADF driver PCB reads these changes in resistance as the original size signal (WIDTH), and recognizes them as specific widths.
      To make sure that the original width volume (VR1) correctly detects A4R/LTRR and A5R/STMT widths, a special AB/inch sensor (PI3) is used inside the original tray; the sensor goes '1' (AB/inch identification signal) when the width of the original is 197 mm or more and less than 214 mm.

      The track of the slide guide is given a groove so that the slide may stop at specific default sizes. Some sizes, however, are extremely close to each other, possibly causing the slide to stop at the wrong point. To make sure that the slide stops at the correct stops, the slide is provided with a positioning roll

            Did you try any of teckat's recommendations? Switching the feeders isn't going to do anything.

              RCON values are stored in printer ---

              RCON (reader controller)The reader controller is also used to control the ADF.

              what happens when u place A4R paper direction on the glass > close cover > and hit print key ?

              does it pick-up from A4R paper in tray ? or ask u to load that size ?

                  like I said it's the communication between the DF and the Reader-------------

                  did u check the RCON settings

                  Original size detection=

                  J201 = used for input of power from the machine (printer unit) correct DC 24/13/5/3.3voltages
                  J202 = used for communication with the ADF (sensor signal input, fan control, scanner motor control, controller)

                  J207 = used for connection with the original size sensor (AB).

                  WHEN U CLEAR RCON
                  3) Enter the appropriate settings for the following
