    [Dead] Getting Blank Screen

    Hello,

I have a Canon ImageRunner C2620. Until a few days ago it was running just fine. A couple of days ago I found that whenever I would turn it on, it would go straight to a white screen on the LCD display and not do anything else. Yesterday, I found that it is not even a white screen but just a blank screen whenever I turn on the machine. The green light for Power Remains on and nothing else happens. When I lift up the cover for the copier, the light turns on for that. We use it as a printer. Any help in how to resolve this would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

I would start by reseating the DIMM's and Boot ROM on your main controller. Maybe doing a main controller clear and re-entering your door specs. If you still have the same issue after that I would move to replacement of the main controller and/or DC controller.

You could also have a pinched wire in a harness, bad fuse PCB, door switches shorting out above the fuser assembly.

Do you mean that the machine is printing?

If it's the case, i would suggest to change the display.

Be sure to check your plugs on the back of the control panel & lcd display. There is a ribbon cable that connects the lcd to control panel that i have replugged & solved that problem.

Thanks. that worked for me. I reseated both the DIMM and Boot Rom and it started working again.
