I've seen that on NP6050's, ir5000's, ir105's, ir7105's and ir5570's. It usually has to do with coronas leaking voltage, especially the transfer corona. The pre-transfer or primary can leak and cause it too. Have you changed the HV unit or the transfer corona block? Take the transfer sep corona out and clean under the guideplate. There was a techpub on how to use a voltmeter to check everything on the drawer from the LFR bearings to the reg clutch and guideplate for shorts to ground.
One last thing to try, increase the current to the transfer in service mode (Copier->adjust->TRN-1, TRN-2?)The chance that higher life forms might have emerged in this way is comparable to the chance that a tornado sweeping through a junkyard might assemble a Boeing 747 from the materials therein. -Fred Hoyle -

OK , Lasers were changed by another company. They had something from canon about there being some defective ones or ones needing a free upgrade at a repair center. The symptom has remained the sameComment

Drum is not very old at all , maybe a million. It has new corona assembly's. Has many millions on it. TP09 229.pdf shows the problem with laser unit . This results in light images, e110 and mirror images.Comment

u never stated if this issue is on Network Prints or Glass Copies or both
IF PRINTS ARE LIGHT and COPIES ARE FINE

u need to discover where this issue either starts > or during > the copy process-
1-did u check the Laser Dust Proof Glass-To find the dust-proof glass you must pull out the primary corona unit. is it there ?/did u remove & inspect>clean
2-did u check the transferred image on drum surface -
CHECK DRUM SURFACE POTENTIALS
The measured and target values (VL1M and VL1T) (VDM and VDT) in DPOT, SERVICE MODE>COPIER>DPOT, should be relatively close in value.
When the measured value of VDM (VOLTAGE DRUM/DARK) is close to the value of VL1M (VOLTAGE LIGHT) the SCANNER LASER AND BLANK LAMPS should be investigated because the primary voltage is not being dissipated by light.
3-Check visually to make sure that blanking lamps are coming on. Replace LED ARRAY Unit if needed. = FH7-3395-020
4-Check the the laser shutter. When the shutter is not open fully, the VL1 value will rise. Bent actuator may be the cause.
4-Developer Clutch ?
Start a copy job of 25 copies. After the start of the copy job enter service mode under display select DPOT and check VLT and VLM. VLT (voltage light target) should be around 75 and VLM(voltage light measured) should also be near 75. With this problem VLM may read around 200, this means there is not enough discharge of the drum.
This usually means laser unit issue**Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.**Comment
