canon imagepress 6000 vp copy of waves / lateral extension

    seitenansicht.jpg
our brave canon technicians changed many parts but the problem still exists. it occurs already in the first fixing unit.
to much heat? is there any manual about the heat in the fixing unit in generell and specially in FixEX C and FixEX E? why is the heat there about 50 degrees higher than at Fix C and Fix E?
are there any rollers which needs to be replaced which are not listed as spare and wear parts?
or in general: what is wrong with the fixing unit.
if you see a chance to help us to solve the problem with the image press 6000VP. even elemental / basic advices would be appreciated.

thanks in advance for your replys

    Hi Friedrich

Eliminate the paper with a new batch, make!
Can you stop the paper before the fuser area, is it ok?? if so go to fuser.
If you put plain paper throught the machine and dont slect gloss, does it still do it?
if so presumably it is the primary fuser...
Have all the parts listed below been changed????
How are the fuser drive gears, they crack!!!

SUB UNIT Part Description QTY Part N0
Upper fuser Uper Fuser Roller 1 FL2-6945-000

      hi johnyb,
      tjs for your reply.
we controll hunidity. we tried new and certified paper even with an oce canon paper specialist. same results. even 300g paper show similar results.
paper is ok before it moves thru the fuser.
we didn`t try plain paper but with little color on. both sides coated and gloss minus 2. thats the lowest temperatur er can get.
fix Fix C and Fix E temperatur around 150 degree FixEX C and FixEX E temperatur around 200 degrees. what is FixEX C and FixEX E? very little better in general still same results.
since we have a service contract with canon europe we can`t work on the machine by ourselves. i will ask them tomorrow. i hope they will answer. our board book does not tell everything.
i expect no answer before next week.
      kind regards

Re: canon imagepress 6000 vp copy of waves / lateral extension

is tech trained on this series ????????????????????????
any jamming is this happening before fixing

did tech work on fixing unit
        FIXING.pdf

        if after fixing---see below

There are 3 decurlers with this machine. Each decurler is controlled according to the media setting information (media type/size) and the video signal (image density) to remove curl of the paper.
        [1] Bypass decurler
        [2] Duplex decurler
        [3] Delivery decurler
Decurler pressure can be switched in User Mode.
System Settings > Device Management Settings > Degree of Curl Adjustment

        In service mode >
COPIER > Option > BODY > IMGC-ADJ, change the setting from '0' (default) to '1'.

Reference: IMGC-ADJ is used to switch the display mode of the image adjustment items used by the system administrator. Setting this to '1' will display the following items: curl correction level adjustment, paper separation fan level adjustment, image location adjustment, secondary transfer voltage adjustment, and gloss adjustment.

U may need to have the tech remove these decurl units to inspect & clean rollers
"Curl Correction for Each Paper Source" is displayed when setting
        COPIER> OPTION> BODY> DCL-SW to 1.

        COPIER> OPTION> CST
D1-CURL Setting of curl correction at pickup from Right Deck
D2-CURL Setting of curl correction at pickup from Left Deck
D3-CURL Setting of curl correction at pickup from Side Paper Deck
D4-CURL Setting of curl correction at pickup from POD Deck (Upper)
D5-CURL Setting of curl correction at pickup from POD Deck (Middle)
D6-CURL Setting of curl correction at pickup from POD Deck (Lower)
D7-CURL Setting of curl correction at pickup from Secondary POD Deck (Upper)
D8-CURL Setting of curl correction at pickup from Secondary POD Deck (Middle)
D9-CURL Setting of curl correction at pickup from Secondary POD Deck (Lower)
D10-CURL Setting of curl correction at pickup from Multi-purpose Tray

            hi teckat,

the tech is trained but from time to time they need support from other techs.
no jamming. not happening before fixing.
fix temp. light paper both sides coated. gloss minus 2. Fix C and Fix E around 150 degrees FixEX C and FixEX E around 200 degrees.
will check curl correction and ask tech.

            tks again
            kind regards

              hi teckat,

we checked the board book and yes tech did work on the fixing unit but not clear what they did. and this is about the beginning of the paper destruction. at that time a second tech had to come to solve the roblem.

              regards

yes we started with new paper. we controll our humidity. even a OCE canon paper specialist came and tried different papers. all with similar results.
paper is ok before the fuser.
we didn' try plain paper but with little color. we print with both sides coated and gloss minus 2. temperatur of Fix C and Fix E is about 150 degrees FixEX C and FixEX E shows about 200 degrees. we will check with canon what parts has been changed. due to the holidays we don't expect an answer before mid of next week.

                kind regards
