Hi there,I'm having a problem with the Capture Perfect software v3.1.35...As soon as you send a command to scan, the tray lifts all the way up but the paper doesn't go through at all. The software just says not responding and then after a while it displays "Unknown error"Anyone had this problem?Ben

Yes, quite a bit! Check for staples of course, but if you have over 3 million and the new roller kit jams, try what Canuck suggested earlier. I did one in the fielld, and one returned to the shop, success both times.

          Hi All,

I know this is an old thread but my colleague has a DR9050C with an intermittent jamming issue. The feed kit has been replaced but the issue remains.

We have never worked or even seen this old scanner model before, so would anyone be kind enough to share the parts & service manual if possible please.

I removed the guide and it was not noisy during rotation and when feeding. It took me awhile to get it in proper form, then customer ran a few thousand sheets and it sounded good. if problem reoccurs will replace guide, it also looked like u turn guide may have also been effected. My guess is that someone shut the clam shell with an obstruction, causing the deformation. One thing I dont understand is when removing the separation roller there was no noise or jamming, just multiple feeding, this totally threw me in the wrong direction. Separation drive is totally separate from registration, transport and delivery sections. Thanks for the input guys

One thing that I can add is that on all these DR scanners, X10C,etc..they all have gears with one-way roller clutches inside of them in the pickup/feed roll drive section...look in the parts manual. I lube them with a thin turbine oil(3 in 1 will work)...a drop or 2 while its running with sensors cheated, top cover off(simple). If it "rattles" while it's feeding, the oneway is slipping and lubing it will free up the needle rollers inside it, allowing it to grab the shaft correctly for drive...it will quieten right up when you hit the right one...lol. I've done this on practically every model of DRs over the years. Old Canon document feeders were notorious for sticky oneways/scored shafts. Hope this helps
