How come this electrical discharge ?
    never seen that issue/

I did put a metal screw. It has fixed the problem. No errors whatsoever.

I was after a magenta leak on the entire page when I saw the discharge in my finger.

I don't know why on some drums (magenta only) - developer looses its magnetic power and starts to overflow.

overtoning on magenta is most likely due to heavy usage and then things get thrown out of whack. Ive seen this on some HP printers too.

          One point to note:
          for 5180 series only
did u ever see that old 2009 ITB update for plate on 5180 series / they had a retro fit to change the gap
to prevent blurred or smeared images ??? useful only as a temp fix on older ITB Units- and ones that have never been replaced from 2009----------------------------
          ITB_TP08 285b.pdf

the newer (FM2-5365-010) ITB Units in 2009 was supposed to fix this issue/ but it doesn't/never has paned out for customers who use this printer as a printing press

          like I said before/ it's all about paper type + % coverage= eventually blurred or smeared images/

the varistor & plate removal has prevented about 60/70% recalls on CQ Plate issues /
u ust need to tell customer to be careful reaching in to remove jam paper underneath ITB

Yeah I had that retro fit done in 2 units. A lot of little jingles - not a life changer though.

I will try to shoot a video of the electrical discharge on my finger just for fun.

I suspected that too. Very old building. Crappy electrical wiring. Best combination.
