I never run that on personal re-built units/ learned my lessons just make sure u are in center position & flag is blocking correct sensor-
I usually do a DCON clear/ then put back P PRINT settings
FLAG.JPG always do a visible Inspect on New or Refurbish ones first
& only use FX-UHP-S and FX-LHP-S on Canon Refurbish or New ones-

Aah well. Already done.
Thanks for the PDF, great stuff... definitely going to come in handy.
These Fixing Units are the worst, I just had another machine go down with a 007-0211 error code.
This same code appeared on this same machine only four months ago... and i replaced the fixing unit with a brand new one. Now, 35 000 copies in, 007-0211. Again.
Are there some underlying causes with these these fixing units failing after so few copies? or are they just kind of crap and really expensive?
I've had five of these 007-0211 error codes (i only have five in the field) in under a year and its been gears in the same location. Apparently the only fix (according to the PDF's i have) is to order a new Unit.

what a pain in the ass.
Crap doesn't deserve to be used here>SH.JPG is better
OLD CANON POST E007-0211 during warmup
Check Sensor assy on the operator side at the exit delivery area, the one with the metal prong attached to check side to side movement. The prong that rides on the edge of the lower belt sometimes will slip under the belt and not be aligned correctly to sense the farthest movement.

You are absolutely right on this, a pain in the ass to work on, expensive and not lasting as long as they should do. We have 50 boxes of this kind in the field and i remember only one fusing unit which died a natural death. I have sent and still sending tons of fusing units back to canon to get a warranty refund.

So this metal prong was okay, but the bearing on the lower belt right above this sensor flag is shot.
can this bearing be replaced? i was going to pull it off of another busted unit.... but i'm skeptical about being able to put it back together.
