in ir 2520 there is a major problem in the duplexing function if one command is given for 2-sided copy it works properly but if the command is given for more than one copy it do the first copy properly but in second copy it always pick up 2 papers with it which stops the copying and paper jam occurs, then i remove the paper and close the door then all the gears are continuously moving and no error code occurs

this is same with printout also

there is no error code

You can check this machine will work fine with A4 R papers.problem is with registration clutch which can be confirmed by swapping with multi pass clutch.

can registration clutch be repaired

swapping with multi pass clutch (did you mean to change the registration clutch by multi pass clutch)

please send a picture of registration clutch and multi pass clutch

Most Canon parts have the Canon part number or manufacturer number marked on the part somewhere. Just compare the numbers. No particular genius involved. Even I can do it. =^..^=

Cheap plastic little clutches. Remove them,disassemble them and clean them with alcohol, re-assemble and re-install. Cleaned tons of the newer cheaper plastic clutches(5570 df,2020 cassette feed,3245 df...the list goes on)

Yeah..the old days...Spring clutch with solenoid...clutches would get stiff inside and the arm would blow right by the pawl on the hub and feed extra sheets also along with slipping. NP3050 also......showing our age(lol). The newer plastic housing electro-mechanicals are junk. Old metal clutches(on np6050 for example) lasted for millions
