have you check the drum unit for droping toner? also check the transfer belt unit. and last check the fuser unit.

remove all drums>toners>fuser unit(keep duplex part slid out) remove ITB> remove cleaning blade assbly> take a flashlight look inside toward cleaning unit rail> get a vacuum (unplug printer first) and vacuum out all that waste toner on rail> & wipe down the Mylar sheet

        Keep the ITB UNIT out
remove the metal plates> see undersides> bet they are dirty
throw the large plate in the garbage

now put back the small plate<> make sure to screw(1) in varistor(2) > then attach other varistor end under leaf spring ( see pic)

varistor need to be grounded under leaf spring (no where to screw in) or u will receive a random error code

DRUM % READINGS USUALLY MEAN NOTHING

have seen hundreds of defective DRUMS & or TONER cartridges for this model

just clean the printer> throw away M Drum

replace with all new drums> & new M Toner cartridge > then run your AUTO GRADATION ( every other day )

                it's not Rocket Science !!!

one reason is very clear ----
all, this drum is not made by me ---that is for sure
i did not know where it made from ---
from ebay ------i did not want to mention more
i bought cyan and yellow from internet ,they got drums from tonermax---
before that cyan and yellow bought from ebay , when i open there is no tearing strip , that means two drums are used and sealed again to auction
the magenta drum is also bought from ebay ,it looks like new , all new packing , all my drums came from ebay (hp drum hp 8560...)before , this one is oem drum but it didn't like oem ----it's compatible or premium ,,,sounds strange
i bought one black from new york loyal computer ---canon dealer the sales respresentative said you drive 75miles round trip to got black drum

                      1- do your printer maintenance
                      2- purchase OEM Products (Drums-Toner)
3- purchase a Manual for your Printer

this ends any future nonsense = "things of no importance or value" when u don't use OEM
