    [CQ] Horizontal lines on copies.

I am facing this problem in ir 2830 .Horizontal dark black lines on copies .I have replaced drum 4 times and the same problem arises after 3-6k copies. I have changed the DP unit ,drum unit ,transfer section.I dont understand the problem, can it be HVT.

This is a firmware issue, it causes the primary charge to stay on & burns those lines into the drum!you need to update the machine firmware to the latest version that has that bug fix & unfortunately fit a new drum!

just flash the software with SST and you'll be good to go. As always, just in case, perform a p-print first and maybe even a backup of user settings just in case something goes wonky.

The fault will return & will damage another drum UNLESS YOU UPDATE THE FIRMWARE!

If you have a HDD with the firmware preinstalled use, that easy to fit, especially if you dont have the firmware or SST!
