[Error Code] Canon Y2 Saddle finisher Error E542-8002

Hello

I have a Canon Y2 Saddle finisher with error code E542-8002

I only get the error when printing or copying to delivery tray B

I bought a SM for it, anyone seen this issue?

E542 8001 Tray 2 shift motor
(M108)/Tray 2
shift area sensor

If the tray does not return to home position when
the tray 2 shift motor is driven for 20 seconds.
If the tray does not move to other area when tray
2 shift motor is driven for 4 seconds.

8002 When reached to the upper limit area before the
paper surface sensor detects paper surface during
the paper surface detection operation.

Very common fault on that finisher. The flag breaks.

Are you sure your code is not E540-8002?

You have the problem solved if you have a SM(if u r a tech)
Find by the Service manual where is located shift sensor area(it detects the rotation of motor M108.
