Leaking developer, old primary charging or failing drum cleaning blade. Could also be cleaning web or pre trans leaking but not too likely, could be wrong though.

Rewire the primary...change the cleaners too. Common on these models

I've changed the wiper blade, Main Corona, Trans/Sep corona, drum and fuser unit all with new parts and still getting random dots mostly on the back side (non-operator) about 2" to 3" in from the back side.

Developers the next one to change. in 11 years of service, I've never changed a drum in a 5000/5070/5050.

This is only the second ASI drum I've had to replace and I've been in the business since 1974. I'm going with the developer idea as that is the only thing I haven't replaced. This unit is in a print shop and the guy runs it like a printing press.

Would also check the Shutter seal for the waste toner, FB2-6897, just to be on the safe side. They have been known to leak at times.

Plugged primary fan filter causes cleaner unit to heat up and form chunks...5000 had same issue....something to look at. Also like mentioned Upper fuser rolls wear thru at around 300k. Also the catch pans on the bottom of the process unit gather toner in them....sep claws mounted to them...seen them sprinkle toner
