    After Replacing the Fixing Belt
Before installing a belt, apply silicon oil (S-20; FY9-6011) to the marked area of the pressure pad cover(within the radius of about 200 mm from the center).
Apply silicon oil to the pressure pad cover, after soaking lint-free paper into the oil to the extent that the oil does not drip from the paper.

When replacing the fixing roller / the fixing belt, or both of them, be sure to clean the surface of the fixing roller and the fixing belt with a lint-free paper moistened with alcohol.

You can get the films here. BEST Office Products - Canon & HP Parts & Supplies - Home Made in Germany.

You get the Krytox GPL205 here Krytox GPL 205 Grease, 2 oz. tube

Many years works great. We thought on the Canon forum that this is what Canon uses. Someone had a part number? These work great in these models and is VALUABLE INFORMATION you just read.

More great advice from a cool cat.

Parsimonious! Likewise, my first time to 'hear' that word, yet to dig out its real meaning. This is a real learning forum, thanks blackcat.

            I'm kind of a word guy. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
            1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
            2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
            3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
            4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
            5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

                  Re: Canon fixing film grease

After tried some type of fixing grease that sold by our supplier all of them failed to work. I would to try the uniflo 8172 but it hard to found here in Malaysia. Anyone have tried this (uniflo 8172) ? and what is the result?
