go for it/
u did not say that the print jobs were stuck in PRINTING QUE MENU on your PC
Believe U said they were listed in 5185 printer menu screen ?/ could be wrong interpreting your post
JOBS stuck on a PC's DEFAULT PRINTERS QUE > is different than Jobs shown on 5185 Control Panel PRINT MENU
1-were these scans to a PC ?
2-Network PC prints from PC ?
3-Scans to e-mail recipients ?

yes I said it, and when I tried the sollution on youtube it does not work, after all I've done initializing data, but the now the work job has been disappeare, printing still does not work, the copy has lost quality
This thread is a bit confusing but Ill take a crack at it, sounds like you were trying to clear jobs from the log in the status monitor which you did by the initialize all data.
when you do that it wipes out all network settings as well as many others, so you need to completely reinstall the unit. as far as the image quality goes if you did the other clears MMI etc that teckat and others had suggested you will also need to recalibrate the machine (auto adjust gradation)
good luck and that you tube video gave me a headache wow !!

Like I said
The 'Initialize All Data/Settings' feature will erase the following data that is stored in the machine:
-Traces of previously deleted image data from Copy, Print, Scan Jobs
- Data stored in in-boxes
- Address Book data
- Scan settings registered for the Sending function
- Mode Memory settings registered for the Copy or Mail Box function
- MEAP applications and Licenses
- Data saved from MEAP applications
- The password for MEAP SMS login services reverts back to the default
- Registered SDL (Simple Device Login) user authentication information
- User authentication information registered in the local device authentication system of SSO (Single Sign-on)
- Unsent documents (Reserved documents and documents set with the Delayed Send Mode)
- Job History
- Additional Function settings
- Image forms registered for the Form Composition mode
- Registered forwarding settings
- Key pair and server Certificate settings registered in Certificate Settings in TCP/IP Settings

I think the solution, as I titled the beginning "replace the firmware" if somebody can help me to find it ,it would be very nice
Even if someone supplied the firmware do you have a manual or Canon SST to perform the installation? Not the simplest thing to do without the right tools.
