    Canon NP6050

I am about to "inherit" a Canon NP6050 that was abandoned in an office building. My understanding is that it works, but it jams every so often.

I have a small office with one lawyer and two real estate agents. Probably not going to be used in very high volume.

--Any thoughts on whether this machine is worth messing with? Even if only as a scanner?

--Should I bother my client who is a technician at a used copier seller to get this machine working or isn't it worth the trouble?

--Where do I get a manual for this thing?

--Where do I get drivers for this thing?

--Can I use it as a network scanner/printer or is it too old?

--Does it have any resale value?

--It looks like this thing is about 400 pounds. Can I roll it onto a pickup truck bed, or do I need to do something else to move it?

--If this machine sucks, can I at least use it as a fast scanner?

Before being too critical, remember the machine is coming to me for FREE.

    Your thoughts would be appreciated.

This old box is ANALOG technology, hence no scanner, no prints, no drivers, etc.
    only copies.

    too troublesome,
avoid future complaints and disatisfaction from your customers.
It's only worth as metal scrap.

    just my 2 Cents.

Ah yes. The analog with the $2000 drum. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
