[Dead] Canon 5185 can't find H1 server after replacing server

Hi, I have a C5185 with H1 controller that i would like to throw off the server, but as I hear that isn't easy.

My problem is that my H1 server required rebooting a few times a week to work so I bought one off ebay that is guarenteed working, I have the reports from it. Problem is when I install it on my prnter, the printer doesnt find it. When I go to that tab it says if it doesn't show up in a moment I should check power.

I have tried changing the COPIER>OPTION>INTFACE>IMG-CONT to '0' and back to 3 and it didnt help. the server shows 00 so I assume it's booted and ready to go. I have double checked to make sure it's plugged in. is there anything else I have to do when replacing the H1 server or an easy way to remove it and print with UFRII?
    Your help will be appreciated.

      Hi, thanks for the reply.
According to the printout that came with the server it says Software: EFI Fiery system 8e Version: 1.02

I am not sure where to find the software on the printer, but the system report says MEAP Contents: 88.02 is that my version?

I tried those steps because I saw them on one of your other posts. I tried them again and it made no difference. Could it be my software versions? can I update the software?

        Printer firmware is good,
Did u receive firmware disks for H1_?

Buyer beware on eBay purchase of hardware.
How much did u pay for it_?

That H1 is an expensive item.

So you suppose I got a bad unit? That's what I was wondering. That kinda turns my 5185 into a brick

Try switching the hard drives between units, after marking them first
                you may get lucky
