[Dead] Ir 4570 Touch Screen Not working

The user touch screen (user interface panel) is off by 1 inch from the top edge. I have tried to clean and
reattached the LCD but no luck. Do guys have any ideas? Please help...

The first lesson, grasshopper, that I'd like to teach to all new technicians is "Independence". It means that you should try something before asking others for help. You don't need my permission. Did you try something?

You might already know that the touch screen is entirely separate from the LCD display. The touch screen (or tablet) lays atop the LCD display. The problem seems to be that the conductive adhesive used to adhere the ribbon cable to glass loosens with time and humidity. You can purchase the tablet separately and replace it.

The interesting thing about the touch screen calibration is that the Canon engineers made the calibration only accessible through buttons on the failing touch screen. I'm sure some engineer was sitting around the lunchroom table saying to another engineer: "Watch this! I'll make the calibration for the touch screen impossible to do, because you have to use the failing touch screen to do it. The techs will drive themselves crazy!"
    =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

hello, as usual, buy a good touch screen (it is not expensive) to replace.

the touch screens of almost all canon mashines including the clc3200 are of the same shape and connectors, so go and see if you find an "organ donor" in your scrap yard
