ir 9070 main corona up top

The corona up top has a cleaning blade, this one is real bad, how important is it ,if so i cant find part # anywhere and precision roller cant seem to show it... thanks for any information..

The corona doesn't have a cleaning blade, a cleaning pad? If the corona unit is old I would replace the complete unit

The rail on the right side of the main corona has a blade on the bottom edge there is a piece broken out of the center...

Thats not the main corona then! That is the pre transfer, replace the complete unit not expensive

The main charging corona is on top of the drum,on the right lower side of the rail that holds it up, is a cleaning blade that makes contact with the drum..this is what i am talking about..on the lower side of the drum is the per transfer corona ,to the left of it is the main transfer corona,the corona i am talking about, sits at 12 o'clock..thanks for your response.

the corona at the top is the primary corona and yes there is a wiper blade that if i remember is on the rial for the potential sensor it would be part of the drum carrier assembly could not find a part number what is the problem you are seeing i know on some old machines where they have deteriated(sp) i have just removed the strip

Just having several spots on copy wanted to replace so i could eliminate the thought of it being problem.. having to replace drum again..just wanted to put back on so i didn't have to suspect it in the future as a problem..thanks for your thoughts.

Yes,, bought a used one after 45 days silicon pitted in a few spots . one one very noticeable and several micro spots. bad luck i guess.

You might want to change those coronas if you didn't already or you may pepper another drum.

Just put in new transfer corona..put in main and transfer when I replaced drum you think I should do again?

replaced trans fer corona 2 weeks ago..replaced main charging and transfer corona when i put drum in it,you think i should put them in new again,,thanks for your thoughts..

If all the 3 corona units are nearly new you wont need to replace them again with the 2nd drum.

Give the the process unit & dev unit a good vacuum while your there.

Vaccum once a week also clean and scrape the wire contact area of the corona once a week..thanks for feedback.
