hello everyone
have a client with a machine, color registration was misaligning once a month - i'd reset laser units & perform quick gradation to correct
after 3 occurrences, i decided to remove & dismantle the IBT & clean it all up, cleaned the belt inside, cleaned all the rollers etc, cleaned the sensors assembly & i also installed a new IBT cleaning assy - when i put the IBT back in the machine & reset the laser units, the color registration was WAY OUT
4mm between black & cyan, then 3mm to magenta, then 3mm to yellow
tried resetting lasers (service mode 2,,, function,,, laser) all OK
tried 10 quick gradations,,, no change
tried full gradation, printed 1 chart, but would not read/scan it - kept telling me to place it correctly - the yellow registration was so far out, there was no lead edge blank on the yellow part of the gradation chart
printed out a network report & its registration was way out (trailing edge black border was right on the trailing edge of the page)
any pointers would be very much appreciated
thanks in advance
Andy
